To make your payment from:

  • Outside of Canada: Visit our website and choose “Make Your Payment Online” in the Global Payment section.
  • Within Canada:
    • Canadian Credit Card: Visit our Website and choose: “Make Your Credit Card Payment Online” in the Canadian Payment Section.

Account adjustments are done after the Tenth (10th) Day of classes each term and will take about a week or two to be posted after that. Please check your account regularly and if you do not see the adjustment has been done at the end of the first month of classes, please reach out to [email protected] to look into it.

To learn about when the Tenth Day of classes is for each term, please visit: niagaracollege.ca/enrolmentservices/dates/.

Level 1 students should check their Letters of Acceptance (LOA)’s to determine the amount that is due.

Returning students (Level 2+) can view the MyFinancials Section on their MyNC Portal in order to view the next term’s fees. If you have a conditional scholarship, it’s recommended that you pay the entire balance, and then if you are awarded the scholarship it can be used towards the next term. If you are in your final term, it will be refunded to you.

Please see your LOA Fee Notification and/or check your MyNC Financials in order to determine your due date.

Level 1 students: If your fees are not paid by the due date, you may not be granted a seat in your program.

Returning students (Level 2+): If your fees are not paid by the due date:

  • You will not be eligible for timetable selection
  • You may be charged a late fee of $150.00 CAD
  • Your student account may be blocked, and you will be unable to access your official documents

Insurance Inquiries

Your guard.me International Student Insurance is sent to your Niagara College student email after the Tenth (10th) Day of classes. Please check your inbox and junk mail for this email.

If you require any medical attention before it arrives, please ensure to keep the receipts for any payments made. Once you receive your guard.me Insurance information, you can submit a claim for reimbursement if it is covered under your guard.me Policy.

Once you receive your policy, add the dependents as soon as possible, you have 30 days from the policy start date to purchase the dependent policy with the option to backdate and match the main applicant (yourself). This is done directly through guard.me.

If you are a registered student, your insurance will be valid on the first day of the month that you start your studies (either January 1st, April 1st or September 1st). The confirmation will be sent to you after the Tenth (10th) Day of class.

If you plan to arrive early in Canada before the start of your program, it is recommended that you secure additional medical insurance coverage through our Early Arrival Insurance option which provides coverage between your arrival date and the start of your program. Early arrival is a one-time purchase only, it cannot be purchased beyond the program start date. Please visit guard.me/niagaracollege to order Early Arrival Insurance.

GuardMe Insurance is mandatory for all international students studying in Canada at Niagara College. If you have OHIP as well as Private Health Insurance you may be able to opt-out, however there are some requirements and restrictions.

If you have OHIP and private health insurance, please send your documents along with your request to [email protected]

Note: The request must be completed prior to the 10th day of classes otherwise it will be denied, without exceptions. Once a Guard.me policy is issued it cannot be cancelled.

You can find lots of information (including coverage information) on ourwebsite under Insurance Information: international.niagaracollege.ca/isa/insurance-information/.

Download the App:

The new GuardMe Mobile App is now available for download on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store! The app is designed to provide you with effortless access to your health insurance benefits.

The App allows users to easily submit claims, verify policy and coverage details, find nearby medical providers, and more.

Refund Inquiries

Refunds can only be processed once a student has completed their final term of study, if they do not have another existing application. Once you have completed your final term of study, please email [email protected] and we will review your request for refund.

Your bank account does not need to be linked to any email addresses. When we send your e-transfer to your NC email address, you will be directed to your bank’s website where you can choose how your e-transfer is deposited.

We cannot send e-transfers to any other email address than your NC student email.

In order to adhere to our payment and refund policies, any credits relating to an out of country payment must be returned to the original account that was used at the time of payment. This is noted on our website prior to making a payment using our Global Payment method: international.niagaracollege.ca/tuition-payment/.

In the event that the original account is closed, please contact your bank for proof of account closure and forward to [email protected].

Please allow 60 to 90 days for refund processing once all of your information has been received. For more information on the refund process, please visit: international.niagaracollege.ca/withdrawal-refund-process/.
