What do we do?
All ISAs (International Student Advisors) at Niagara College are Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultants (RCICs) or Regulated International Student Immigration Advisors (RISIAs). Your ISA is here to guide and support you during your academic journey at Niagara College.
What can International Student Advisors help you with?
- Â Academic planning including:
â—‹ planning for re-taking failed courses
â—‹ reviewing academic plans
â—‹ changing programs (level 2 and above) - Â Immigration assistance including assistance with;
â—‹ Study permit extension
â—‹ Co-op work permit applications
â—‹ Post Graduate Work Permit (PGWP) applications
â—‹ Temporary Resident Visas (TRV) & electronic Travel Authorization (eTA)
â—‹ Restoration of status
â—‹ In-Canada family applications e.g. spousal open work permits
â—‹ Amendment of errors on IRCC documents - Understanding Off/On campus work permissions
- Understanding Niagara College Policies and Procedures (grading, academic misconduct, etc.)
- Education shock and transition to life in Canada as an Niagara College student
- Withdraw and refund process (for level 2 students and above)

- Transfer Credits and Advanced Standing
- Changing grades – grades are determined by your teacher, please speak to your teacher about any grade inquiries

Your International Student Advisor would be happy to help you with any academic or immigration related questions that you may have. The best way to contact your International Student Advisor is through email.
When emailing your International Student Advisor, please include the following information so that they can better help you:
- Your student identification (ID) number in the subject line
- Your first and last name
- Your citizenship(s)
- A few sentences explaining your question, attach applicable documents and all permit and visa expiration dates as applicable
