Selecting an educational agent is a personal decision. Here are some considerations and recommendations to guide you in making your selection:
Confirm registration: When selecting an education agent, ensure that your representative is a registered agent with Niagara College. Follow the instructions under the “Agency Verification” section below to verify this.
- Direct communication: Ensure you have direct access to email communications from Niagara College at all times.
- Discuss services: Discuss with your agent the services they will provide, including assistance with your study visa application. Request detailed costs of each service in writing.
- Understand there are no guarantees: Please be aware that using an educational agent does not guarantee your admission to Niagara College or the approval of a Canadian study permit.
- Retain original documents: Always keep your original documents, such as passports, academic transcripts, and records, in your possession.
- Pay Tuition to NC: All tuition fee payments should be made payable directly to ‘Niagara College’.
- Know agents’ responsibilities: Your agent should assist you in completing the International Student Web Application Form and must always obtain consent from you before making any decisions or actions on your behalf.
- Track application progress: Once your agent has submitted your application to Niagara College, we will communicate with your educational agent to allow them to check the progress of your application.
Registered agencies are available to provide information about Niagara College and support students throughout the application and admissions process.
To ensure transparency and discourage misrepresentation, we offer agency verification. However, please note that only registered agencies that work directly with us can be verified; sub-agents who work with our registered agencies may not appear on our list.
If you are unsure, do not hesitate to ask your agent for clarification on their relationship with Niagara College or a registered agency.

After your application is assessed and it has been determined that you meet admission requirements, an Offer of Admission (OOA) will be sent for you, indicating a deposit amount that is required for issuance of your Letter of Acceptance (LOA) and Provincial Attestation Letter (PAL). Your OOA is not to be used for study permit application purposes.
NOTE: It is important that you complete your MyNC Student Portal account setup, if you have not already done so.
After receiving your OOA, ensure that the deposit amount indicated on the Estimated Fees Invoice is paid before the specified deposit due date.
For information regarding accepted methods of payment, please visit our Tuition Payment webpage.
Once you have made your deposit payment and it has been received by our finance team, log into your MyNC Student Portal to confirm your program of choice.
NOTE: You must confirm your program choice even if you have only been accepted into one program.
After you have confirmed your chosen program, an LOA and PAL will be sent to you within 2-3 business days.
Once you receive your LOA and PAL, it is important to begin the process of applying for your Canadian immigration documents (such as your study permit and temporary resident visa) as soon as possible. Your application can be made at a Canadian Embassy, Consulate or High Commission in your country. You must have a valid study permit / visa approved for Niagara College Canada before beginning your studies.
Ensure that you make a minimum payment of the first term program fees stated in the Estimation of Fees Guide in your LOA and/or on your final invoice. These fees must be paid by the due date indicated in order to secure your seat in your chosen program.
Once you receive your visa approval, please submit a copy of your approval documents (visa stamp, letter of introduction and/or Canadian study permit) to [email protected].
NOTE: You will be required to submit a copy of your Canadian study permit issued for Niagara College Canada once it is received, prior to beginning studies.
Please refer to the payment due date indicated on the fee summary page in your acceptance package for specific due date information. Payment due date extensions may be permitted, based on program demand. Inquiries regarding payment due dates may be sent to [email protected].
