Niagara College International

As we begin a new year and celebrate new beginnings, I am thrilled to share an update regarding the organizational structure of the International Division, effective January 2, 2024. After careful consideration and strategic planning, we are proud to announce a restructuring within the International Division to add a third Senior Director to support our international growth and to meet the evolving needs of our global community.

International Students

This area supports the unique needs of international students and study/work abroad for all students.

As recently announced, this area is led by the Senior Director of International Students, Shawna Luey, and comprises:

• Cultural & Global Engagement, Associate Director, Maxine Semple- Ozog
• International Student Services, Acting Associate Director, Fernando Gama
• School of English Language Studies, Associate Dean, Charles Voth

Global Business Development

This area oversees international admissions and inquiries, student recruitment, and global business development.

Guided by the expertise of the Senior Director of Global Business Development, Gary Torraville, this area comprises:

• International Admissions & Inquiry Response, Director, Melissa Plamondon
• Global Business Development, Director, Scott Slaney

Global Education and Training

Previously known as Global Engagement, this area is responsible for bringing together the expertise of NC’s highly skilled team members with leading partner organizations worldwide to provide educational solutions designed to inspire sustainable global change.

Guided by the expertise of the Senior Director of Global Education and Training, Holly Catalfamo, Ed.D, this area comprises:

• Global Campus Operations, Compliance and Reporting, Director, Orel Ruiz
• Global Customized Training and Consulting, Manager, Joanne Maltby
• Global Education Projects, Manager, Quinn de Vries
• Global Pathways, Manager, James Maur

NC Kingdom of Saudia Arabia (NC KSA)

This area includes Niagara College KSA (NC KSA), operating technical and vocational training colleges in KSA, with a focus on specialized programs to develop world-ready and work-ready graduates for successful entry into the workforce.

Guided by the General Manager of NC KSA, Sean Coote, this area comprises:

• Director of NC KSA Operations, Rania Ibrahim
• Director of NC KSA Business Development, Deborah Johnson

I am confident that the restructured International Division will continue to support the bold actions outlined in our college’s strategic plan.
