In recent weeks, team members of Niagara College’s Institute for Global Education and Training visited countries in Latin America and Africa, identifying potential demand for training development and delivery in languages other than English.

As part of our efforts to explore new business possibilities, the Institute is launching a call for Expression of Interest (EoI) for Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) fluent in Spanish and/ or French to identify internal expertise among faculty or staff.

Are you an expert in your field, passionate about sharing knowledge and able to deliver training in one of those languages?

This could be a fantastic opportunity to collaborate with like-minded professionals, influence industry standards and best practices, gain recognition for your expertise, and contribute to meaningful projects with real-world impact.

Who we are looking for:

SMEs with more than five years of experience in the following areas:

  • Trades
  • Tourism & Hospitality
  • Gender Equality and Human Rights
  • Accessibility and Inclusion
  • Entrepreneurship
  • Digital Media and Online Learning
  • Curriculum Development
  • Leadership and Business

If you have expertise in another field and are an experienced facilitator, you are welcome to submit your application as well.

As an SME, if awarded a project, you will:

  • Provide expert insights, guidance, and feedback.
  • Contribute to the development of training materials, research, policies and/or frameworks.
  • Deliver training sessions and facilitate workshops in Spanish or French.
  • Participate in discussions, reviews or advisory panels.

If you are interested in joining this process and becoming part of the pool of SMEs fluent in Spanish and French, please click here to submit your EoI and your resume before April 30, 2025.

Note: Before submitting your EoI, please discuss your interest in this opportunity with your supervisor to ensure their awareness and support.
