Short Term EAP
Niagara College’s intensive English for Academic Preparation (EAP) program offers five levels of English language skill development, welcoming beginner through advanced English proficiencies.
Building on these theories and language skills, the College offers a Short Term EAP program for students wishing to strengthen their English language skills who are unable to attend the full semester of the EAP program and is great for those seeking flexibility in their English language education; the program is two months in duration and designed to meet the needs of today’s fast-paced world. Please note, EAP and Short Term EAP are designed for secondary school (high school) graduates and English as a Second language (ESL) learners as the programs focuses on preparing you for English language post-secondary studies and career advancement. Applicants to these programs should be in the process of completing, or have completed, their final year of secondary school.
Successful completion of the advanced level of the EAP programs with a 70% average enables you to enter undergraduate programs at Niagara College – with no additional proficiency tests needed.
Niagara College’s English for Academic Preparation programs are continuing through the Spring 2020 term through online delivery.

Short Term English for Academic Preparation
Based on the linguistic theories established by the full semester EAP program, the Short Term EAP focuses on English language essentials for students who wish strengthen their skills but are unable to attend the full semester of studies.
All students who study in the Short-Term EAP program are required to do placement testing.
