• How policing works in Canada and how it may differ from other countries
• When to call 911 vs. non-emergency services (and how to request language support)
• Rights and responsibilities during police interactions
• What to expect if stopped by police (on foot or in a vehicle)
• Personal safety in public spaces, on transit, and at home
• Common scams targeting newcomers and students
• Steps to take if someone becomes a victim of crime
