Niagara College is constantly reviewing its requirements to ensure students are prepared for academic success at the College. As such, admission is not guaranteed and international academic equivalencies are reviewed frequently and are subject to change.

Please note the following admissions criteria, including Canadian equivalences, are in effect for those applying to Fall, Winter or Spring terms at Niagara College.

Early Admission Criteria

Applicants that qualify for Early Admission are prioritized for admission to academic programs (subject to program capacity). In cases where program capacity has already been met, qualifying applicants will be placed on a limited waitlist and considered a priority for admission as capacity becomes available. To qualify for Early Admission, applicants must meet the following minimum Early Admission Criteria.

Competitive Admission Criteria

Applicants that qualify for Competitive Admission are evaluated and ranked after a program has closed. Based on an applicant’s ranking, they may be admitted to an academic program based on program capacity. Ranked applicants are routinely reviewed as capacity becomes available for academic programs. Meeting the minimum Competitive Admission Criteria does not guarantee an offer to an academic program. To qualify for consideration under the Competitive Admission process, applicants must meet the minimum Competitive Admission Criteria below.

Post-Secondary Diploma Program

Academic Requirements	Scanned original copy along with notarized English translated copies of the following: · Proof of graduation from a secondary institution · Proof of academic transcripts from a secondary institution One of the following: Ethiopian Higher Education Entrance Qualification Certificate (EHEEQC) with a minimum grade of 50% o higher in required program subjects. University Entrance Examination Certificate (UEEC) with a minimum grade of 50% or higher in required program subjects. Ethiopian School Leaving Certificate (ESLC) with a minimum grade of 60% or higher in required program subjects. · Include transcripts for any post-secondary courses or programs completed
