These scholarships are for students who are applying for their first term at Niagara College.

Community and volunteer involvement is often considered when awarding scholarships, and review committees will often contact community or volunteer references that are provided for additional background as to your relationships with these organizations.

Ukraine Scholarship

$2,000

International student who is a resident of Ukraine and has been admitted to a program at Niagara College for September or January of the upcoming school year.

United States of America Scholarship

$2,000

International student who is a resident of the USA, and has been admitted to any 2, 3 or 4 year Business or Technology program for September or January of the upcoming year.

Turkey Scholarship

$2,000

International student who is a resident of Turkey and has been admitted to a NC academic program for the upcoming school year.

Lyford Cay Scholarship

$2,000

Student must already be approved for a Lyford Cay Foundation Technical Training Scholarship or a Canadian Lyford Cay Foundation Scholarship. Accepted to one of these NC programs: Hospitality Operations Management (Co-op), Photonics Engineering Technology, Chef Training, Culinary Management (Co-op), Motive Power Technician (Co-op), Construction Techniques, Construction Engineering Technology.

Latin America & Brazil Scholarship

$2,000

International student who is a resident of Latin America and has been admitted to a NC academic program for the upcoming school year.

International in Canada Scholarship

$2,000

International student who is currently in Canada on a student visa, studying at any school and transferring to Niagara College. Programs from these streams: Bachelor of Applied Business, Business Administration, Computer Programmer, Computer Engineer, Electrical Engineering, and Hospitality and Tourism.

Graduate Certificate Scholarship

$2,000

An international student that has completed or is currently registered in their final year of any academic program at Niagara College and is entering a Graduate (Post-Graduate) program in the same or next academic year.

EAP Program Scholarship

$2,000

Any International student who has completed over 12 months in our ESL program. Programs from these streams: Business Admin- istration, Business Accounting, Computer Programmer Analyst, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Tourism, or any Graduate program.

Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) Scholarship

$2,000

International student who is a resident of an approved CIS country (Azerbaijan, Belarus, the Czech Republic, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia) and has been admitted to an academic program at Niagara College for the upcoming school year.

Caribbean Scholarship

$2,000

International student who is a resident of a Caribbean country and has been admitted to an academic program at Niagara College for the upcoming school year.

These scholarships are for students who have been accepted to Niagara College.

Members of our community have recognized the unique challenges that International students experience, and have generously donated scholarships to assist and celebrate student achievement. The scholarships available through these donations are based on academic performance, financial need, and volunteerism.

Practical Nursing or Personal Support Worker programs in their final year of study.
Students will be nominated by academic faculty for consideration.

Community Spirit Award in Memory of Isabel Hernandez Maltos Scholarship

Any student in any program.
1 fall term and 1 winter term scholarship awarded.

Keith Segal StudentGuard International guard.me Scholarship

$1,000

Any student in any program level 2 or higher.
10 fall term and 10 winter term scholarships awarded.

Dr Mary Kilmer Tchalekian Scholarship

$2,000

Student from Latin American in any post-secondary or post-graduate program level 2 or higher.
1 fall term and 1 winter term scholarship awarded.

Niagara College SAC International Award

$2,500

Full-time international students studying any NC Post-Secondary Program. Selection is based on academic performance and essay submission.
Your application must include: Maximum 500 words Essay "How have you taken advantage of the many extra-curricular and volunteer opportunities SAC offers to enrich your life as a student and fulfill your dreams?"

NOTE: In the interest of providing as many scholarships and awards to as many students as possible, a student may receive only 1 scholarship or award per Fall or Winter distribution.

Niagara College International Student Awards

Niagara College awards students who are the top academic and engaged students in their school. There is no application for this award. It is determined based on academic performance and an active co-curricular record.

One recipient from each academic school will be chosen and notified.
