Student Profile

Tourism Development student Marcos Schmidt was honoured with an ACAATO Student Leadership award, recognizing his contributions to the College and his fellow students.

Marcos, also a Hotel and Restaurant Management grad, is a former member of the Student Administrative Council and last year was the student representative on the Board of Governors.

Marcos took a lead role in developing a five-year strategic plan for SAC and has participated as a volunteer in numerous College events and activities. Marcos is currently in Brazil on an internship.

Scholarships & Awards Available

Niagara College - International in Canada Scholarship

  • This scholarship (of up to $2,000 Cdn.) is available to any qualified international student who is currently in Canada on a student visa, studying at another school and applies to enter one of the eligible programs for January or September 2009.

Niagara College - Graduate Program Scholarship

  • This scholarship (up to $2,000 Cdn.) is available to any qualified international student who is currently studying in, and will graduate from, a Niagara College diploma program and enters a graduate certificate program at Niagara College for January or September 2009.

Niagara College - Caribbean Student Scholarship

  • This scholarship (of $2000 Cdn.) is available to any qualified international student who is currently living in a Caribbean country and is qualified to enter any eligible program at Niagara College.

Niagara College – Lyford Cay Scholarship

  • This scholarship ($1,000 Cdn. per student) is available to any qualified international student who has been approved for and will receive a Lyford Cay scholarship to study at Niagara College for January or September 2009.

Niagara College - EAP Program Scholarship

  • This scholarship ($2,000 Cdn. per student) is available to any qualified student who has studied (and completed) over 12 months in our ESL program and is accepted into any of the qualifying Niagara College programs.

Niagara College - APICE Graduate Program Scholarship

  • This scholarship (up to $4,990 Cdn.) is available to any qualified international student who is currently living in a Latin American Country where APICE has a member organization and is qualified to enter an undergradaute or graduate certificate program at Niagara College.

Niagara College - Bachelor of Business (Hospitality Operations Management) Scholarship

  • This scholarship (approximately $8,000 U.S. tuition for the first year, up to $1,000 U.S. per year for the balance of the program, if 80% average is maintained) is available to any citizen of Jamaica who is a new high school graduate or employed as a hospitality professional and is qualified to enter a a Bachelor program at Niagara College.

Niagara College - St Lucia Scholarship - Bachelor of Business (Hospitality Operations Management and International Commerce and Global Development)

  • Niagara College is offering two partial Tuition Entry Scholarship to St. Lucia nationals for the above four year applied degrees. These degree programs include a paid co-op work experience in Canada or St. Lucia

Niagara College Top International Student Awards

Every year Niagara College awards the top 5% of our international students with an honour of being one of the top international students in the college and a $500 Cdn. award each.

The International Educational Opportunities Scholarship (IEOS)

  • This scholarship is for students completing part of their academic program abroad. It will provides eligible students with financial support for an eligible period of academic study, work term or coop placement outside of Canada.
