Project Outline:

Niagara College has been a proud partner of the Training and Development Department of the King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre (KFSHRC) in the development and delivery of education and training related to the KFSHRC–Medical Secretary Program –MSP (previously the Hospital Assistant Program) since 2006.

Niagara College has provided course deliveries at the hospital from April through June 2007 and from May through June 2008. In addition, in the spring of 2008 & 2009, two graduates (per anum) of the KFSHRC HAP received scholarships to study at Niagara College, Canada, in Semester Two of the Office Administration - General Certificate program.

In April 2009, an Accreditation Agreement was signed between Niagara College and KFSHRC in order to accredit the content of the current KFSHRC MSP (consisting of the Foundation Term + Semester One), ensuring that the graduates have the opportunity to earn the Niagara College Office Administration—General certificate. To make the certification program available to all KFSHRC program graduates, the Training and Development department has requested a Niagara College delivery of the required courses at the hospital site in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Lesley Calvin, International Projects Specialist, is the Project Coordinator.

Dr. Sulaiman Al Salamah is the Director of Training and Development at King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre.
