FAQ-Frequently Asked QuestionsWhat is the deadline date for submitting applications?Niagara College is able to process applications quickly. You must, however, have a Study Permit (student visa) before coming to Canada and this can take some time to obtain in many countries. The International Department is always accepting applications. How do I get a student visa?To get your Study Permit, all you need from Niagara College is a Letter of Acceptance. As soon as we receive your application and deposit, we will send this letter to you. You can then take it to a Canadian Embassy or High Commission and get the application process started. Is there any financial aid for international students? No financial aid is provided for international students by the Canadian government or Niagara College. Please check our scholarships webpage for more information about what scholarships are available. When should I arrive in Canada? Most students try to arrive 3 – 5 days before the start of term; however, you can come earlier if you like. Please plan to be in attendance at the international orientation. If you are needing assistance in finding a place to live, please let us know as early as possible when you are arriving, and what help you will require. |
