English as a Second Language

Our ESL programs are fully accredited by Languages Canada, the Ontario Ministry of Colleges, and the Canadian Government. This guarantees that the education you receive will be the world's best.

Our attention to quality education underlines why we continually have one of the highest student satisfaction rates in Ontario. Wherever you want to go, Niagara College will help you get there.

Student Satisfaction

English for Academic Preparation (EAP)

Niagara College's 4-month EAP program is our most academically rigorous language program. It focuses on preparing you for the challenges of post-secondary academic studies or career advancement.

Short Term EAP

For those students needing a degree of flexibility in their lives, the Short Term EAP program is a 2-month course designed to meet the needs of today's fast-paced world.

Academic English for College and University Studies (AECUS)

AECUS is a bridge program that is determined by the advanced level placement testing grade(s). The advance level placement testing is given at the beginning of each term. Drawing from the flexibility afforded by Niagara College's curriculum, it allows advanced students to combine EAP classes in areas where you need improvement, and combine them with some post secondary courses of your choosing.

Summer English Program

The Summer English program is conversation-based and is less formal than our EAP program. This program will help you maximize your speaking abilities in formal and informal situations.

English as a Second Language

The English program is great! The classes are fun, dynamic, but at the same time challenging and structured. The professors helped me master the language so that I could focus on my business degree and excel."
